Nonviolent Direct Action
Nonviolent direct action means taking action ourselves to further the cause of nuclear disarmament - for example blockading the development at Aldermaston or the Faslane nuclear base.
Will I Be Arrested?
If you take part in a blockade then you may be arrested. However, for every person arrested there are many more that are needed in support - drivers, childcare, press work, legal support...
Training
There are several people in the regions who have a wide range of experience in direct action and would be willing to provide training to any group that wants it. Please contact the Eastern Region CND (mellcndeast@cnduk.org) for more details.
