I hate those men who would send into war youth to fight and die for them; the pride and cowardice of those old men, making their wars that boys must die.

Military Bases in East Anglia

RAF Lakenheath

East Anglia is home to a large number of military bases. However, one which is of major concern is RAF Lakenheath which is believed to be home to 110 B61 nuclear bombs.

The F-15s from Lakenheath have also been very active in the bombing of Iraq and Afghanistan. In October 2006 eight people cut through the fence at the base and chained themselves to a munitions store where cluster bombs had been seen.

RAF Mildenhall

RAF Mildenhall is a major logistics base which is used for air-to-air refuelling and as a stop-off point for arms and other cargo. In August 2006 it was used as a stop-off point for the resupplying of cluster bombs and bunker busters to Israel during the Israeli attack on Lebanon. This resulted in the setting up of a peace camp.

It may also be involved in 'special redition' flights where people are flown to countries which use torture for interrogation. Personnel from Mildenhall are also involved in interrogating prisoners at the notorious Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.

RAF Feltwell

Is the most secrative US base in the region.
